Here are five of my favorite smoothies that have easy alternatives to make them low carb.
This smoothie includes just enough mango to get the flavor without too many carbs.
1/4 cup mango
1/2 cup papaya
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 tbs heavy cream
1/2 cup water
This smoothie offers the satisfying taste of chocolate, the energy boost of coffee while staying under carbs.
1 tbs cocoa powder
1/2 cup cold coffee
2 tbs half and half or heavy cream
5 ice cubes
This smoothie is very coconutty.
1/4 cup dried coconut (unsweetened)
1 tbs coconut oil
1 tbs pineapple juice
2 tbs heavy cream
Like a Reese’s milkshake, but healthy.
2 tbs peanut butter
2 tbs cocoa powder
1 cup milk
1/2 banana, frozen
I always like the combination of cinnamon with blueberry, and the cinnamon helps to lower blood sugar.
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup blueberries
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 cup raw spinach
1/2 cup water or milk
